This year of Dior bags was just consistent with what Chiuri has built during her tenure: streamlined shoulder bags with logo hardware, as well as some judicious usage of Dior’s logo jacquard fabric that I’m still hoping to see more of future seasons. There were also some party bags on delicate, jeweled chains that reminded me most of Chiuri’s tenure at Valentino, however on the whole, this really is a Dior that is less overtly and traditionally female. It is as contemporary as that of Raf Simons, but in a different way.I’ve always loved Dior bags, and I love a brand that keeps its handbag lineup well-edited and tight instead of trying to reinvent the wheel each season. Dior is just one of those brands which strays from mass manufacturing and retains the designs glossy and clean, offering a couple new styles each season without going overboard. Among the most recent bags under creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri is the Dior Addict Bag, and we had the chance to see it up close. The Dior Addic has each touch of Dior that I’ve come to know and love, with a contemporary twist. The Cannage quilted lambskin is iconic for its brand, and I really like the version using the small stud details. There are a couple different sizes, but we’d took the small version for a spin, and I loved how this tote looked like a miniature crossbody. Every aspect of Dior that I adore felt as though it was included, but it also didn’t feel old-fashioned; rather, the bag feels young and edgy. The grip differs for the new, but I love the emblem being included with this layout.

  • If I have said it once, I’ve stated it 5,000 timesI just can’t get enough black. Perhaps it’s that the New Yorker in me, or perhaps it’s just that black always looks so, well, chic. Naturally, when I got a peek of Dior’s Pre-Fall 2018 bags, I could not believe what I saw: lovely black totes with hardware which wasn’t gold, and not silver either–it was black. I was instantly obsessed, and that I couldn’t wait to see these totes in person. My favored of the two we got our little paws on is The Dior Lady Dior Bag. I’ve always thought of the Lady Dior as fragile and, of course, living up to its title: ladylike. While I get the allure of a super female bag, they aren’t the type of bags that I typically steer clear of. This edition of this Lady Dior changed everything for me personally, and I must acknowledge the Lady Dior just went way, way up on my desire list.I don’t really have words for why I really like this bag so much, aside from the fact that it is just so freaking cool. I envision myself wearing this many ways, out of jeans, a dressy shirt and heels into my favorite Levi’s and sneaks–that this tote can certainly do everything. And of course, this tote is comparatively practical, as it can be hand carried or worn out with the removable shoulder strap, which I just adore. This bag is the medium size, therefore it’s just right and fits pretty much everything you’d need for the day, plus a few extras. I was able to fit in my pocket, sunglasses, and a small cosmetics case, both my work phone and my private phone, and also my digital camera when the bag was organized just right.

  • There are many things that I love about this bag. For starters, it’s beautiful in an understated way and is incredibly stylish and timeless. It’s an elegant shape that will never really get older. This bag stands out, particularly in pink, and falls perfectly in line with Dior’s timeless, ultra-feminine appeal. While some Lady Dior Bags possess a high zip, I love the ease of use that the top flap provides with this Lady Dior.Inside, you are going to discover a zip pocket on the rear wall of the bag, in addition to a slit pocket on the front wall. It is able to fit all you need for the day, and could easily match some extras like a planner, notebook or even a book, all of which I carry from time to time! It’s streamlined, but not overly tiny, and it’s fairly structured but still soft and luxurious. With spring around the corner and this tote coming soon to Dior boutiques, we would like to know: would you stone this sexy pink Lady?Part of my still expects to see Raf Simons’s work show up when I click on a hyperlink to take me into a new Dior collection. Simons was just at Dior for a couple of decades, but his time there left an apparently indelible impression of what Dior is on my mind, and that I have difficulty shaking it if it’s time to watch Maria Grazia Chiuri’s work. I think that’s because the two are so distinct; Simons’s Dior girls always seemed ready for a backyard wedding 15 years later on, while Chiuri’s girl look like they might be going to a really posh, casual dinner. (Which is not to say there were not lots of celebration dresses in the group; there were.)

I will be right up with you: the last time I owned a pink tote was in middle school, once I believed there was nothing sexier than carrying around a Coach pochette from the new classic logo print in vivid pink. I loved that bag, and I used it until the corners were worn and it had been on its very last leg. Today, I still have a whole lot of love to get monogram, but you guys know me well enough by now to understand that I don’t often think quite pink. I tend to steer towards reasonably trendy bags and shapes, but in classic, neutral colors such as black, white and nude. I envy people who are daring enough to take risks and carry colorful bags. I genuinely wish I had been one of those folks! I am more than just a jeans-and-tee kinda girl, but you won’t grab me in five-inch pumps every day. My everyday look may easily be elevated with a nice pop of colour, but the nearest I have come to color is lusting after a red tote. Pink is really pushing it for me, so I was surprised at how much I loved the Lady Dior Bag in sexy pink.I’ve got a critical colour crush on the bag, and while it’s not a beat I am very likely to behave on, I wouldn’t mind someone dropping this woman in my doorstep! I am not at the stage in my life however where I can afford to purchase more than couple of bags a year, if that, so I still tend to steer towards impartial bags. The Lady Dior is high in my list in white or black, but if you are the type to do colour, this is the Means to Do it

  • I love this bag has an inner flap closed, so it’s not totally open on top, meaning that your material is not overly exposed. However, the flap is quite simple to start and get in and out of on the move. Indoors, the Lady Dior bag has one interior zip pocket, in addition to a slit pocket. It’s available mid-May via Dior Boutiques.Next up in my love list from the Dior Pre-Fall 2018 series is Your J’ADIOR Flap Bag. Once again, this tote proves to be as edgy and super-chic in person as it appears on a screen. The matte black J’ADIOR emblem is in-your-face without really being flashy, and that I absolutely love that. If you are a symbol girl, this is probably the trendiest way to do one.The tote is the fairly standard flap bag, and it is fairly comparable in size to the majority of flap bags we’ve written about recently, but in addition it does extend to fit more than you could think. When you open the flap tote there’s a middle compartment, which includes two slit pockets on front and one bigger pocket with a flap closure. There is a also a separate smaller slit compartment on front inside of this bag, which is great for storing things you reach for on the move, such as your cell phone or train tickets. The bag is fairly easy to get in and out of if you’re out and about, however in addition, it closes securely thanks to the magnetic flap. The string strap functions strictly as a shoulder strap, although it may be worn out singled or doubled, it is a bit too short to be worn cross-body, though Dior’s website does state that it may be worn as such. Overall dimensions of The J’ADIOR Flap Bags are 5″H x 7″W x two ″D, also this matte black on black version retails for $3,600, accessible mid-May through Dior Boutiques.

  • In Dior, the switch from popular artistic director Raf Simons to Maria Grazia Chiuri, the (also very popular) co-artistic manager at Valentino, was a stark one. No one anticipated Raf to split after three critically acclaimed years, and as a consequence of that, there was no wind down in customer attention and no expectation that a change would be coming. Her Dior is less slick and more casual, and because casualness, arguably more reflective of how many women really reside in their clothes in 2018. There have been moments of aesthetic turbulence in making that shift, but at the newly debuted Cruise 2019 collection, Dior has once again found its altitude. As far as bags go, the runway set is comparatively short on Dior classics, even though they’ll obviously maintain the full assortment that arrives in shops. Instead, Chiuri took the chance to stoke the revival of the Dior Saddle Bag, found here in both symbol and heavily embellished forms, in addition to a simple, new east-west satchel and saddle (lowercase S) bag. The implementation of them is solid and sleek, and they are a fantastic counterpart to some of the line’s more logo-heavy choices. Check out behind-the-scenes photos of this group’s accessories, straight from Dior, under.

  • Even with Raf Simons’ recent death, Dior held steadfast and true to its motto of class and quality for its Fall-Winter 2016 collection, with the bags leading the way. This period we examined out three bags from what many industry insiders are calling a’placeholder’ set: a Diorama satchel, Diorama club and Diorama bag. While all are from precisely the exact same line, each tote caters to a different woman. The Diorama black and blue club is for your chameleon who would like to perfectly transition from day to night. The silver Diorama bag with the home’s iconic cannage setting is for the woman who’s after a timeless appearance; along with the tufted Diorama satchel is for the businesswoman who is seeking to impress. The set marks a distinctive stand-alone period between Simons’ tenure as artistic director and only before Maria Grazia Chiuri from Valentine joined to take over the mantle and also inject the brand with her unique sense of style and glamour. Dreamed up by the maison’s in-house atelier helmed from the competent Lucie Meier and Serge Ruffieux, the totes are a pleasant surprise. On a functional note, it is best to keep in mind that they are all exact structural and you won’t be able to fit much besides the everyday requirements. But they all boast classic lines and complex patterns, meaning they’ll last you for the following five years or more, which is good news, as the bags range from HK$22,000 into HK$34,000 and is best viewed as more of an investment item to add to your portfolio.

  • I paid for a counter quality replica which means that the tote is as near to the real deal as possible — in case you have been reading the blog in the past you know I do not like to mess around with bad fakes — they are a waste of cash in my view & I am buying the bag to continue so long as the first so I only shop for the best. The features of the particular tote that make it counter caliber include the leather quality, the hardware quality, the stitching, the interior of the bag, and the general texture of the bag. I shall go into detail about all those details below:The leather of the bag is genuine lambskin leather and I have to tell you it’s uber supple. Genuine lambskin leather should have a superb buttery texture and also the leather on this bag gets a big pass when it comes to this standards. The leather is quite comparable to the Chanel classic flap string which should likewise be super butter-y. Should you buy a poor fake with imitation leather which would ruin the entire look of this tote since the quality of the leather will be visible from a mile away.Good excellent hardware ought to be as heavy as the original. Some brands have milder components while others have a heavier hardware. Dior is a brand that is in the middle when it comes to hardware heaviness. The bag also has little pegs at the base to block it from becoming dirty and also prevents the leather from getting scratched. I personally hate it when manufacturers make bags with delicate leather like lambskin and do not contain feet in the base (especially in the event that you wind up opting for the real tote and spending 4 expansive ), but luckily the Lady Dior is none of these bags!

  • This year of Dior luggage was just consistent with what Chiuri has assembled during her tenure: compact shoulder bags with logo hardware, in addition to some judicious usage of Dior’s logo jacquard fabric that I’m still hoping to see even more of future seasons. • There is a model with the coolest shoulder strap, and that is the bag that grabbed my focus off the bat–that the Bohemian-inspired strap includes red yarn adorned with aged, silver-toned medallions and black lambskin details. It’s the model I need: the classic black lambskin with the updated strap. It feels like that is the sort of bag that’s bringing Dior into the forefront of each celeb’s and handbag lover’s wish list, and I’m so happy to see it happening. The size is too small for my frame, but you will find bigger sizes, which is definitely what I’d opt for if I were to buy this bag.Speaking of which, if you loved the Dior So Real sunglasses, Dior simply released the Dior So Actual Pop Sunglasses, which offer colorful lenses. I am not cool enough to pull off them, but I love the colors! Raf Simons had a very special outlook at Dior from the beginning: futuristic, architectural, innovative and incredibly feminine. Logos are a resurgent trend in fashion thanks in large part to brands such as Gucci, who are finding ways to blend a winking acknowledgement of ancient 2000s gaudiness with 80s excess and a splash of au courant streetwear. Chiuri brings this to a number of brand new Dior bags (many of which reflect Chiuri’s influence on Valentino’s recent accessories in her prior position) by means of big, gold Dior logos, spelling out the full name. In addition to that, Chiuri revives the Dior logo jacquard fabric on bags that look like they had been made as it was popular. Part of me needs to scoff at how on-the-nose those pieces texture, but in a market with endless desire for nostalgia, they may just find their place.
