Raiders Accident Into Artist Accessories Abundance And Abduct Replica Handbags Account

The thieves broke into L.K. Bennett, on Cathedral Approach, at 5.30am on Friday morning.

Raiders smashed through the door of a designer accessories store in Manchester city centre and stole handbags worth £2,500.

The yobs managed to get into the store by picking up a drain cover and throwing it through the door.

Ten luxury replica handbags uk worth £2,500 were taken during the robbery.

They went onto to steal the replica handbags and fled the scene before Greater Manchester Police officers arrived.

A pop-up tent cover was left behind by the raiders which is being investigated by forensic officers.

Replica bags taken include a leather ‘Catrina’ tote costing £295 and ‘Mariel’ crossbody style bags worth £145 each.

Passers-by said they saw police guarding the entrance to the shop this morning which has since been boarded up.

Emily Axon, store manager, said: “They have picked up a drain cover from the street and have thrown it through the door.

“It is stressful having to rush and sort it out. I am frustrated and angry that they have done it.”

The designer shop, located opposite Selfridges close to The Shambles, fell victim to a similar robbery last year.

During that raid 15 handbags were taken which were understood to have been sold on eBay by the thieves.

Police are investigating and no arrests have yet been made.
