Almost two years ago I scoured the web and every store trying to track down this Yves Saint Laurent Y Clutch bag. Not only was I going crazy over it, but all of you were, too. It is so rugged and chic that it can easily be worn by a man or a woman. Simply put, I AM OBSESSED WITH THIS BAG. But the folks at YSL told me it was an older season bag and was no longer available, which really bummed me out. However, it looks like my luck is turning around, on a Monday nonetheless.
Look what I found! It’s as if the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow found its way to me via a YSL bag on Mr. Porter. This bag is not only awesome for the gents, but I totally think the ladies can rock it as well. Right now I am so excited that I mostly want to write in caps, but that would be hard to read. So let me try to explain why I love the Yves Saint Laurent Logo Strap Leather Tote Bag so much.
It is the logo strap leather that makes this bag a seriously covetable piece. YSL always finds a clever way to integrate its logo or a nod to it in its designs, and this one is much more literal. However, YSL found a way to make the logo be a trendy and eye-catching part of the design, as they used leather straps with buckle details to spell out YSL. Of course it seems simple, and it is, but the finished product is so lovely it screams fashion.
My only very small gripe is sometimes the magnetic terminal is a bit fiddly and you have to get it perfectly aligned for this to snap closed.Compared to most high-end designers Saint Laurent is that the fairly reasonably priced. Although this bag retails for #1250, they do quite a few of luggage beneath the #1000 mark that’s unheard of for the majority of the significant designer brands. Although this bag might seem to be a massive amount of money if you compare it to the Mini Chanel Classic Flap which is over a #1000 more and quite similar in size and shape (see it HERE), it’s nicely priced.The Monogramme Kate is a timeless style, which means you’ll have the ability to wear it again and again without worrying about it going out of style. Plus I feel that the costs go up each year so that it’s best to make the purchase as soon as you can.On a different note, how adorable is this top? Lately, I have discovered a few amazing new brands on ASOS and this top is from among these. It is called Bec & Bridge. It’s on the pricier side but the quality is actually great, much better than ASOS’s own label stuff. Plus I think with a statement bit in this way, it’s well worth spending a little bit more so you may wear it year after season without it looking worse for wear.I believe this will probably be fab for those upcoming Christmas occasions.
